We still have a long way to go. I love the community and the community has always been good and supportive of me too. What makes youth issues particularly important to you? We need to make sure to take care of them and allow them the opportunity to reach their full potential. What would you tell a straight person about why LGBT rights should matter to them? Equality should matter to everyone regardless if you are in the majority or the minority.
But I gotta say that it is also important that the people in the minority do everything they can do to reach out to the majority and understand that they may have questions or need some help understanding. They may not say the right thing every time or be with us on every issue, but welcome them and help them understand what being gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender is all about.

The man has only been president for a year and a half. Give him a chance. There is a lot wrong in this country but I think he will bring positive change. He already has reformed health care, he is dealing with the corruption that is Wall Street, he passed the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act and has done other positive things for the gay community like the added protections and benefits for LGBT federal employees.

So, as she told Chertoff, Lauper started again, recruiting Lennie Petze to help her co-produce the album. Together, the pair set out to produce a collection of songs that would not only capture the sort of wide-ranging sound that Lauper wanted to present to her audience, but would also serve as a piece of art in which Lauper could speak her mind.

The connection between the song and the community was so strong, in fact, that it ultimately led Lauper to found her own non-profit advocacy group, True Colors United , alongside her management team Lisa Barbaris and Jonny Podell, to help bring and end to LGBTQ youth homelessness.
It turned out to be a whole kind of movement. Biden sending medical teams to 6 states; Djokovic remains in limbo: 5 Things podcast.
